Members Dialog w/Dr. Heather Lynn: First off, WOW, We need to get her back on! I happened to finish this dialog earlier this week, while Facebook was having some, “technical glitches” and it got my mind connecting some dots. First off, I have a FB account, but don’t use it, and never installed the apps on my phone(s). I was clued into the “glitch” via a series of Jim Stone posts. Basically, you could scroll through your FB feed and no pictures would load, but you were able to see the meta data tags that FB’s AI has assigned. There were things such as: two people kissing, two people at wedding, dog and other animal, fireworks, gun related content, etc. So how does this connect to the Dr. Lynn dialog? Well, it got me thinking that FB’s AI is intelligent enough to interpret what is in an image, regardless of image quality, and tag/catalog it. I wonder if the “academic industrial complex” can and does use this sort of technology to scan, categorize, TRANSLATE, and tag artifacts. In other words, they could use lets say Google to search image files, from museums, universities, and private collections, then “tag” certain artifacts for future “collection.” Could they also use this sort of technology to replace scholars (read: liabilities) and replace them with an AI to decipher relics? In other words, you could replace intellectuals with layman to control the information, have these individuals scan the artifacts and use bribery, muscle (such as Blackwater) or theft to recover the desired objects.

At any rate, great interview and I will be ordering her book that was discussed!
