A few posts previous Bluenose asked how the Corona virus received its name.
I’d like to suggest taking a look at the Greek … Corona … Corona Borealis … and so on. Also look at Corona and its relation to Kronos …
… also see a short story by H. P. Lovecraft entitled Hypnos. I’ve found over the years that when curious about such things going to the
classical world (Greek and Latin) most helpful.

Tidbit: Saint Corona, Martyr, was long considered to be a protectress against the plague. Usually depicted with St. Victor, another martyr, she is the patron saint of a few towns in Italy including one near me.
