Update: the government and the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Finland changed their rules a little bit, and all close family could participate, even if the total number was over 10. So we had a beautiful ceremony and everyone could fit in. Thank you all for your beautiful thoughts and prayers.

We had the first corona death today here in Finland. The government only told us, that it was some elderly person, with multiple other sickness. 5 person are in intensive care, one them is under forty years old.

This is depressing! When I traveled in the sixties with my Masters in hand from Berkeley, I found even high school graduates in Europe better educated. Is that no longer true? Has the whole of humanity been dumbed down?

Well.. my mom’s funeral will be on next Friday. We can have only 7 guests, as the government banned over 10 people gatherings. So it’s 3 Church workers, the priest, the verger and the cantor + 7 of us family members. I have to cut my family of 5, to three that we can all go inside. It’s just a blatant propaganda piece. Making it “secret” or banned material, makes it only more appealing for the weak minded people. It’s already out there, you ban it from book stores or not. But I understand your point.

When the first corona virus vaccinations finally will be available, count me and my family out, for at least first 6 months minimum, maybe 1 year. I remember the Pandemrix vaccinations here in Finland at 2009. It was brutal. Many kids got narcolepsia from that vaccine. That’s incurable.

What’s the point of banning it? We have it even in public libraries here in Finland. It’s in the section of “banned books” in my local library.

Now the corona virus arrived in my city (Lappeenranta, Finland) too. There was three incoming flights from the northern Italy in last two weeks, and the government decided not to quarantine these people. Glad to hear this. With the virtual closing down of Catholic churches in Italy, I wonder whether the Vatican has lost all faith in the power of prayer (i.e. focused group intention) or whether they know the principles and have deliberately made this move. Maybe a good vidchat question.
