The “entertainment explanation” sounds like a cover story to me. In fact the original story sources to “Variety” (you know, variety, entertainment etc.). Much easier to pass off as psychos than to say: “ok the real reason the missiles were fired is because such and such an oligarchical group represented by Mr. X had to be appeased and/or put in their place.”
