Now the corona virus arrived in my city (Lappeenranta, Finland) too. There was three incoming flights from the northern Italy in last two weeks, and the government decided not to quarantine these people. Medical staff only met these people in the airport, and gave them a piece of paper, where were instructions what to do if they get any symptoms. It’s like a very bad joke. Only good thing is that this is a very small city, population of 72 000 people, so it makes it a little bit easier to track those people who were in contact with this patient. And flights from north Italy are now halted, but I think it’s a little bit too late. I already took my kids out of kindergarten and we alerted St. Petersburg babushka, who arrived in here to help with the kids. I also stocked some extra food. A little prepping.

It’s surprising how people just WON’T postpone those winter holidays. And there is still an undetermined number of cruise ship passengers – thought to be largely American retirees – floating around the Pacific somewhere.
Drink chaga tea – available from Finland’s birch forests.
That’s a good idea!
True, the last week of February was the winter holiday week in here.
If you’re thinking of going to Norway, think again.
