I’ve gone back to having lunch in the park, with a book, under the sun. People and animals walk past doing their own thing. Very refreshing.

I have already felt like this for years. When I was younger first starting out in the workforce after college, I felt like a prisoner between work and home with different boxes, lords, and irritants – e.g. work, the usual corporate idiot overlords and sterile environment. Then at home, surrounded by people on every side, too close, no privacy, and then the tiny boxes I lived in were over governed. I thought buying a home would help solve this problem…but NOPE, every time I buy a home, the “Land Cannibals” move in, buy up the land that was supposed to never be developed (wetlands, Protected Forest Land, Ravines Impossible to Build On, etc.) and start building too close. Then the county shows up for this and that along with your taxes forever rising. Then the airplanes over head every 30 minutes or less from every direction, day and night. So then I thought moving out, buying more land would do it…but nope…more land cannibals, more planes, more taxes, more county….until it feels like there is literally no where to go to find peace. This is tragic! Forcing people to live like rabbits in tiny boxes and work all their lives to pay for their own prisons.
