The Boy Scouts of America is essentially paying off these individuals who have been abused to shut up and go away. With this bankruptcy, no investigation will be conducted and no one will face justice. What does that say to the rest of us?

It goes without saying that this is inexcusable. With that said, its a shame this has tarnished the Boy Scouts as a whole. It’s not unusual for an organization to pay off victims to protect itself, similar to the Church. My son is a Cub Scout. We live in a small town and the group of dads putting it on is a tight knit group. Their is prayer at events and great values promoted. I was never a scout, but I’m glad my 7 year old is part of it. To be clear, I’m not defending these actions, just seeing the other side of the coin.
