      It took me a second to equate “full stop” with a PERIOD. God forbid should they learn about commas, semi-colons or colons. IMPOSSIBLE. For us OLD PEOPLE who used to diagram sentences in order to understand the ENGLISH language (it is a language and there are rules), and I do have to wonder if there is any point to educating them now. Too late?

        One of the comments was pretty amusing. I actually enjoy writing and may not be as good as I should be. I now understand dividing such into such, being something, if I recalled that correctly. When it was taught to me, it seemed too mathematical and that just hurt my brain. As far as their education goes…. When all is taken from them, and they no longer have their luxuries, find themselves hungry, cold and alone, there might be a chance. Until then, probably not.
