A FWIW…for 2 weeks I’ve noticed a notable drop off in email from 2 different accounts. In addition, after Firefox/Windoze updates, many sites are now blocked…e.g. http://news.goldseek.com/GoldenJackass/1561955003.php

I use 6 add-ons for FF attempting to circumvent these voyeurs…my skill set is not what it should be as I think you have to be a digital script kiddie to have any semblance of privacy.
Yes, with Firefox updates I have been unable to access some secure accounts, which I can access via Safari. (I refuse to upgrade to latest Mac OS, so be it!)
Do you use a bunch of security add-ons? I do, but it still acting weird. I think you narrowed it down to FF for me.
I wouldn’t upgrade Mac OS either. Just had my 4th GPU go bad on 3 macs with another hanging in the balance. Crummy lead free solder. Well, guess what? Upgrades messed w/the fan/temp control, Mac HD’s (proprietary) used 7 pins not the usual 4. An inline thermal ($50) connector is needed for any HD change which was done in the process of sectionalization. Of course 7 trips to the idiot non-savant bar to trouble shoot a known issue/class action suit, never notified, nor resolved.
I did find a site to monitor the temp via software due to the hardware solder fails among a plethora of nefarious biz practices.

No, just malware protection. I’ve had to spend hours in store and by phone with Apple techs to work out issues, a big one being their own security and a certain certificate. It’s tiresome and frustrating and don’t see it getting any better so I try to keep it simple. Sticking with Apple though (since ’91 and MacPlus!). Good luck with yours!
Slightly off topic, but as a Dr. Jim Willie fan, I also subscribe to The Gadfly. He posts on there regularly and replies directly to members, via the forum.

It’s a pretty good source. The “community” is nowhere near as active, or dare I say it, informed as Giza. I’ve never come across another source where the community was even in the same realm as GDS. If you know of any, let me know.
