Well lets put it this way.. as the author of that book I linked to says in the opening statement..

Looking back now. The info points to HESS wanting to meet with Douglas Douglas-Hamilton, 14th Duke of Hamilton, and not with Hastings Russell, 12th Duke of Bedford (Marquis of Travistock.. its one of his many t itles…..) However..we can remember that. Hess was :Directer of the Physiological Insti tute at Zurich 1917-31 where he liked to play with electrodes and people’s brains..
Douglas Douglas Hamilton was a right leaning german sympathiser who may have been involved in Hess via Albrecht Haushofer after the war broke out.. but there is no proof..
However its very likely that Hamilton and Russel were probably acquinted .. Russel (Travistock) was a founder of the British People’s Party, who saw John Beckett join their ranks, who was as much a Nazi as Hess was..and Russel sent letters expressing his admiration of Hitler and appealed to Lord Halifax to stop the war.. after the war he started claiming that the nomber of Jews exterminated had been exagerated.. (I cant help but think.. maybe..)
