This article, written in 2010, briefly looks at the philosophy of Julian Assange as revealed by some of his (Assange’s writings)… and it is rather interesting. For one, Assange seems to have as a goal the breaking of the links in closed systems to enable open systems.

And here is a link to the Assange writings referred to in the article (also linked from the article): http://cryptome.org/0002/ja-conspiracies.pdf
I’ve only briefly glanced at these but based on what I’ve read so far it does not surprise me that members of the corporate fascist oligarchy and their covert agencies would view Assange and Wikileaks as an existential threat.
And in the news recently, Saudi hacking group attacks Wikileaks.
“WikiLeaks suffered an embarrassing cyber-attack when Saudi Arabian-based hacking group OurMine took over its web address. The attack saw visitors to WikiLeaks.org redirected to a page created by OurMine which claimed that the attack was a response to a challenge from the organisation to hack them.”
