North Korea just set of a mulit-stage nuclear weapon at there test site. Yes, that would now make them Hydrogen Bomb Capable—-a capability that This President and former Presidents have said that the USA would not permit to happen.
It has happened. Now what?
No alternative action is a good one. If the USA does not act, it will seem unreliable and weak on the world stage, especially in Asia. If it does act, we could quickly get into, ah, unintended consequences.
So, on this Labor Day coming up in a few hours, I recommend adding 30,000 SPF sunscreen to your activities. Me? Taking the family to see The Cloisters in NYC.

My prediction is that nothing will happen… and that as usual a lot of important things will be off the news radar.
I hope you are right. When Kennedy and Khrushchev squared off over the missiles in Cuba, both men were sane and found a reasonable way out. Well, that’s what reasonable people do.
Kim Jung-Un, a man who has killed family members off in gruesome ways is not stable. His regime is not stable. The Chinese, who will not tolerate a stable republic on there back door, are not stable. The US political situation, Trump vs Deep State—-is not stable. It is not stable to allow a viscous dictator to have thremo-nuclear armed ICBM’s aimed at the USA.
So, what is the stable default position here?
The Soviets backed down and removed the missiles and the US removed the missiles a few months later from Turkey.
Yeah, that’s why I am praying. We could truly get the whirlwind backlash over this one.
My suspicion is that the NK government is NOT a genuinely sovereign enti ty (i.e. even less sovereign than most governments on the planet), though I have not yet found satisfactory analyses one way or the other…
I dont think that they are H Bomb capable. Numbers dont add up and things are happening BECAUSE of the test (such as THAAD deployment around South Korea.. (whether CHINA wants it or not…)) see further up for links

I love Jay’s comments. When things are really strange, like the NK “government”, look for the money, the mind manipulation or both. Barring offworld interference of course.
Regardless of who is pulling the strings behind the N. Korea Dictatorship, a nuclear armed North Korea—Patsy or not, can’t be tolerated by the USA. Not this President.
