Wow… I’ve seen talk on this website about owning DNA and the uses that it will be put to..

This is what made my eyes sting..

“spider silk holds great promise for commercial and consumer applications

Kraig Biocraft Laboratories’ believes that in the near future, genetically engineered spider silk will make significant inroads into the market for high-strength fibers

Kraig invented a new technology and acquired the exclusive right to use the patented genetic sequences for numerous fundamental spider silk proteins

(We became the world leader in spider silk).. by applying our proprietary genetic engineering spider silk technology to an organism which is already one of the most efficient commercial producers of silk: The domesticated silkworm.”

So they took the DNA of one species and injected into another.. and it works?. . . . .

    • Maybe advances in this technology were some of the reasons Honeywell and Solutia got out of the Nylon (thank you Donald Rumsfeld you Dupont lackey) business..
