Interesting… I spoke with a russian collegue this am. she told me that a few years ago, the national holiday associated with the ocktober revolution was.. cancelled..? We had a quick conversation about orthodox vs western.. then ultra-orthodox vs everyone.. I didnt realise that a lot of seperation came from them thinking that the earth was flat and the sun moved over us.. kind a like.. the Sumerians.. or the Eygptiens.. anyway.. the Revolution got..kind of swept under the rug, and she told me there was wasnt a real celebration held in russia.. Might not like being reminded how they got used and abused by ‘some faction’… (that ryhmyes with Westenyankers..) into starting the Bolshevik revolution.. or maybe they just dont want to think about that anymore and are moving swiftly on….
