Have seen the new starwars – a fun movie with a good dose of corny lines and nostalgia. What struck me is that the Empire and the Rebels seem to have made remarkably little progress in armaments over the past 40 years, the only thing new is an unwieldy cannon said to be “a ground version of the death star”. Maybe the DOD hasn’t been sending up enough funds recently…

well… when you have.. the first Death Star.. (how many trillions got poured into that…) That blew up due to a design fault being put in by the designer..Ok… so the next one.. They got rid of the exhaust pipe in a straight line going to the reactor.. and replaced it with a flythrough that several ships can now fly in.. Ah.. and the Shield protecting the DS can be ground assaulted… (why didnt they put it in a DUMB…) by a group of 15 men and teddy bears.. They took that humilating defeat and turned it into an even BIGGER death star, that apparently.. any stormtrooper going through basic training learns how to destroy it.. or turn the shields off.. or whatever that token stormtrooper did… before Darth Nose killed his poppa…. so.. what have they learnt?? I havent seen the film yet.. Ground based Death Stars now???
The Empire deserves to lose.. they’re too stupid.
In the latest film, the meme of arms dealers selling to all sides has reappeared with a hint of knowing about “back doors” to the technology. As well as the issue of child slavery. And by the way, the shady merchant gets paid in some kind of hard physical currency. thank you very much!
