I would simply like to give a mention to the legal defense fund of Ross Ulbricht. He is a political prisoner serving two life sentences plus 40 years, without parole in a maximum security prison. As far as I am concerned, he committed absolutely no crime in any real sense. But even granting legitimacy to the state’s classification of so many non-violent behaviors as crimes purely for the sake of argument, his sentencing is wildly out of step with that of so many genuinely bad people who committed violent crimes. I hope everyone who sees this will go to the site linked above and read about his story, and hopefully do whatever they can to help him. And if nothing else, please keep him in your prayers.
