They have a good supply of fabricated relics. But relics don’t necessarily need to be genuine in order to have a psychic – or at least psychological – effect. In the politics of relics – like orders of chivalry – it is the giver who “condescends” to grant something to the recipient…

I understand that apparently this is disturbingly common. If anyone has a family member in a persistent comatose state, I would never leave them alone in one of these facilities solely at the mercy of strangers if I were you.
