Progressive Education entered at full swing in the early 80’s . The decline was pretty much straight forward in music, art, television etc. Prior to that in Puerto Rico there was a certain quality in popular music that is simply not present today. You at least had access to musical mentors and for $ 5 an hour you had musical lessons. Those musicians on the link are self taught but at least they learned their instruments. The music coming out of this island today is terrible.

Indeed. How, in today’s sex-obsessed j’accuse culture, would anyone want to give anyone else music lessons, lest for whatever reason, they be accused of something they did not do?
The mentorship culture is increasingly missing.
Sadly you’re correct.
