Meanwhile in Russia… I can confirm this cat news. Our arpartment house basement is full of cats, on the other hand I haven’t seen any rats in here, so cat’s in the basement is a good thing. Then there are some people who prefer Nile Crocodiles in their basement, but I personally like cats more.

Are crocodiles able to survive the winter in St Petersburg? I would have thought it’s too cold?
I suppose the district heating pipes go through the basement, so I think it’s warm enough.
It actually can be a very warm place.
