Cara. you finally unmasked the real martians … HP Lovecraft talks about Cthuhulu (an octopus-like ancient god resting in the depth of the ocean and waiting for the call to wake up and reclaim earth … perhaps the real martians are telepathic octopi who communicate with humans thru channeling and will survive the next extinction level event on earth, sheltered by the depths of the ocean.
