      There is significant development spinoff from these huge projects, like roads, railways, power lines. While I wouldn’t be surprised to find GERMAN firms connected with the project, the “Western” oligarchs, at least publicly, are still spouting cold war nonsense.

      Yep while Russia and China are building stuff, the US is making war planes, tanks, bullets and naval ships and fighter jets.
      And mad dog Mattis is constantly saying Russia will attack Europe, and that keeps NATO ticking over.
