This is one of those events that reminds me of the initial response to the finding that Egyptian monuments corresponded to astronomical location data for the constellations especially Osiris (Orion). I believe there is far more to what the boy discovered than we are supposed to know.

This sees to have become a Anglophone vs. Francophone battle. The boy has the firm support of many scholars in the Francophone world and many detractors from the Anglophone world.
Many on the French side think the Americans are hiding something there. There is also a call for the use of deep ground penetrating scans to be employed or reviewed. Sadly, I expect that if there is something there it will be seriously swept under the rug like the ruined city off the coast of Cuba.
