As the former owner of a now defunct bookshop in Liverpool, I warmly welcome any move that may lure those who may wish to buy books away from the all-conquering Amazon. Many an independent book shop in this coundry has perished at end Geoff Bezos’ ruthless sword.
Let’s hope they resist any future move by the deep-state-insider-with-unlimited-funding to buy them out too!
