Ok a quick update folks. The organ as you know has arrived, and the physical installation is complete today, though the house is an utter disaster. I’ll post pics in a moment on a tidbit (they’re a little blurry I’m afraid as I don’t use my camera that much). But again, a MAJOR thank you to all you donors who made it happen. Thank you so MUCH! Now, schedule wise, Daniel and I have postponed the Dialogues to the end of the month, Oct 30th as he is busy and I’m probably still going to be cleaning up the house afterward, and I PLAN to return to the blogging-News and Views- vidchat schedule, which I’m hoping to get to either tomorrow or Monday. I will TRY to have a vidchat this coming Friday. Anyway, in spite of all the delays, Martin and Doyle produce a VERY finely crafted and nice console, very polished and professional wood-crafting. There was some sort of software issue that means hopefully tomorrow she’ll speak her first. Cross your fingers.

Fingers crossed! Does she have a name yet? I expect her first ‘words’ will be a Bach fugue . . .
Dunno about names. Maybe she is a he. Dunno yet. First words will probably be the 549 and some Buxtehude (a little spitfire of a fugue of his I used to play).
I’m thinking now, more a he than a she. “Bruno” seems an appropriate name.
When I attribute personhood to a piece of machinery, like a car etc, I don’t usually think of a specific sex. I more think of it as just being a “dear friend.” Or in some cases an “old friend.” 🙂
May I dedicate “Ode to Joy” to the Occasion?!
