Snow fleas by the thousands…
So frustrating when someone can’t report it as if they have an understanding of scientific observation. Approximately how many “fleas” per meter ON AVERAGE; area of coverage (specific, general). Could someone please find out WHAT the insect is… a flea that carries bubonic plague… or “snow fleas”: are they Springtails (snow fleas) that are not actually insects but are hexapods or are they a sub order of Diptera with sucking mouth parts aka fleas. This might as well be a global warming report for all its actual lack of information.
I clearly would like to know what is REALLY going on. Concern? No concern.
Ok… I will try this again. Too bad that this report lacks any kind of scientific process like estimating the number of “snow fleas” per meter or if this phenomenon is localized or regional. Furthermore, “snow fleas” are not insects and would not carry bubonic plague whereas fleas (related to flies and mosquitoes) ARE insects and do carry diseases (including tapeworm). Are these fleas or snow fleas?
Have no idea. Never heard of “snow fleas”, myself, doesn’t snow where I live. With the number of GMO insects they are dumping in the swamp in Florida and where I live (SE Georgia, Okefenokee Swamp) I tend to pay attention to any “dumping of modified insects”, no matter where they are supposedly dumping them. I wouldn’t put anything past these people. We had a flea problem in our area this year; had to spray the entire yard for two weeks to get rid of them; and I have a 4 acre yard. Were they dumping them here, also. Who knows? I have never had this problem before.
