I totally reject what the Saker says about “the Empire” in that he is getting his information inside Russia to say the Empire (USA) wants war even though they/we are militarily weak. Catherine suggests it is merely saber rattling in order to keep up the trade in weapons (appeasing the MIC/Corp) and the Saker immediately rejects that. In fact, the Saker is naive enough to also reject the idea of DEW, geoengineering, weather weaponization, AND Catherine’s “follow the money” example of indonesia and the stockmarket bets before the Tsunami. My take is that one needs only watch the interactions between Putin and Trump to say that Russia’s posturing is as much as a MRGA move (creating jobs in Russia’s MIC) as Trump is trying to bring jobs back to the rust belt and to the middle class. If the Saker is getting his “inside information” from a system that has not completely deviated from the Soviet system, it is also possible that they are finally getting the sense of pride and feeling of military strength that we both, the US AND RUSSIA, will need against the future threat of China. If you want to make any parallels between the Reagan (Ray-gun) era to the USSR, you might want to see what is being attempted to bring China into a financial alignment. Again, just my take on it.
