@forumborealis, I understand completely as I have the same trouble understanding the intent of a friend from Venezuela. I have to constantly interrupt him by asking do you mean this or that & it irritates the hell out of him. Oddly enough, I never have that issue understanding the point or intent of friends whose first language is Arabic. I enjoy learning from all cultures and getting past the communication/culture barriers can be a challenge at times. More often than not, it ends up humorous for us both.
I’m guilty of using acronyms & corporate shorthand, so I see that as me erecting a communication barrier unintentionally. Bad habit! Glad you pointed it out.
By weighted, I meant another Catholic. There is not one Protestant on the Supreme Court. Just speculation on my part, but I see a counter-reformation that has bulldozed it’s way into every facet of the unholy trinity of control mechanisms…Unum Sanctum.
As far as clickbait, I do feel the same way as end of the world hysteria has embedded it’s claws into many & completely usurped any semblance of logic from my POV. It’s odd when I do glean anything from clickbait, but the misdirection/intent in that one was very clear to me…agenda.
Be glad you don’t live in the USSA…it’s a madhouse!
