Traditionally, we know Christianity from the perspective of the believers, not the designers, who perhaps were British Druids, opposing the Roman empire, geopolitically.

Assuming, that Christ’s formative adolescent missing years were in Britain, then why was it kept secret at the time, afterwards, and until this present day? Perhaps there is a hidden power struggle.

Assuming, that the Druidic curriculum, contained in poetic verses, and mentioned by Julius Caesar, cognates with the British Rune poem, then the Runes will provide a backdrop.

Consequently, the Runic backdrop may provide hitherto unknown information about the early design of Druidic Christianity. That is the hypothesis concerning the Runes.

    • Just as many people will claim he spent time in Tibet and India instead of Brittain..
We dont know the Druids side, because the Romans killed them all. And the Druids passed down verbal records and didnt write it down.. not that that always helps.. ask the Aztecs.

      • Languages change, whereas ideas do not change. Symbols circumvent language, and provide direct access to ideas.

The hypothesis is, that British nursery rhymes contain hidden layers. British school children are therefore unwitting carriers of symbols.

When the symbols are placed in alphabetic sequence, they disclose a rebus, that can be solved, with basic knowledge of Old English.

Assuming, that Druidry was cryptographically encoded into children’s minds, it would have been difficult to uproot Druidry in Britain.

It would also explain why Julius Caesar found no Druidic curriculum written down, because why use expensive papyrus on trivial knowledge?

        • no papyrus in england, you know that. The hypothesis assumes a lot, fairy tales tell tales of pedivores and evil kings and witches. Your own reasoning will tell you why they were written down and by whom and why they did it.
Civilisation is dependant on writing, otherwise you’re destined to be dust upon the wind regardless of what you tell your children. Genetic memory holds the key to our children. Which is why they need to be protected.
I imagine the druids to be like the priests of the baals. What do you think?
What did we call ourselves before the Romans turned up druid? Celts is taken from the Greek word Keltoi meaning barbarians. Who were we?

          • Greek was lingua franca of the ancient world. No trade without it. According to Julius Caesar, Britons made everyday use of Greek alphabet, and that is a quilled graphical font.

Vellum, made of animal hide, is to expensive for everyday use. Therefore cheap imported papyrus is the logical conclusion, as a spin-off of the tin trade. Papyrus has lifespan of decades in British climate.

I suspect, that the straight line Runic font was invented to be cut into wood, because Saxons had no access to papyrus through trade. The symbolic content of the Runes, would align Saxons and Britons, judicially.

When Julius Caesar expresses surprise, not finding the Druidic curriculum written down, he could not have had such expectations, had he perceived Druids as illiterate.

Eventually, in time Roman intelligence would have understood, that the Druidic curriculum was simply kindergarten poetry, if we assume that it cognates with the Runic poem.

Druidry was considered a 20 years study. Not everyone would have solved the Runic rebus of hieroglyphic symbols, contained within a commonly known poem.

The content of the Runic poem is judicial, and Druids were judges. The symbol of balancing the scales is fair and just ruling. That is a matter of principle, defying deified rulership.
