There’s a spectrum of “erotica” that one comes across. The article describes that virtually anyone can take oneself from one end of the spectrum (relatively socially accepted kinks), to the most dark ones as they need more extreme kinks to get excited (build a tolerance like a drug). Certainly the combining of the game-format (cartoon/animine) and porn is something allowing for anything goes, like loophole even in the system. Not sure if one can be charged with “kid porn” with the cartoon. I’ve never looked into it or really subject I am interested in researching.

Having said that, about 10 years ago when I got laid off from my job I got into a porn habit. I didn’t realize it was a problem as it just slowly sneaked up on me. Finally was able to apply measures to counter and take control. A friend of mine actually got rid off his internet ENTIRELY to cope with it. I found internet is still essential and didn’t go that extreme route. Essentially managing my time – I set up my computer to shut down at 9PM every night and never take my phone to bed (also bad for sleeping). I think many younger people are growing up entirely with the internet – I just came across this in my early 30s. The good news is that many are waking up to the dangers and taking similar measures to gain control of themselves.

I’m seeing young women and couples turning to making their own porn, just to make a living (it’s not all about “pedophelia”). This can be to share with themselves, but often it’s just people who want to make an extra income, as this is one of the easiest avenues. Furthermore, there is a very soft/sexy element that attracts many IG models to make – also easy money just showing pics in bikinis and booty workouts etc). Again, it’s mostly financial, these are adults. There is a degree to this soft element I find most tolerable and acceptable.
