Here in Texas we did get a break from our drought but now, with little rain in 3 weeks and temperatures starting to rise, we could use a bit more. This leaves me getting up in the morning and immediately viewing my most accurate weather “app” to find that the current wind and weather patterns are completely screwed up. I have been a “farmer” since 1986 when I first started my own landscape architectural business (CT-NY-FL), then an organic garden center, and now a farmer/rancher in TN-TX. We need to know when to move livestock or start up our irrigation or plant sensitive crops. This means I didn’t start looking at weather maps last week.
There is an ongoing attempt to hurt not only our cattle industry throughout the midwest but to drown or most fertile lands and prevent spring planting. In other words, our prime food region is being heavily damaged for 2019. I really don’t know how else to view it.
Get a good weather application that includes wind patterns…
