By the time this is found, it will no longer be needed. Nice publicity stunt, but highly impractical. It would be much smarter to create a depository here on Earth which doesn’t rely on technology to access it; pretty much what the Giza pyramid amounts to, among other things.

Does this library have users?
Only if they can get to the moon to access it…
… obviously this “library” does not contain the work of either Michael Cremo or Graham Hanc — k. 🙂 [Had to space Graham’s name due to word filtering.]
… from an article in Scientific American … “The Los Angeles–based nonprofit organization says it will launch the texts of 20 “important books” chosen by Project Gutenberg (a volunteer effort to digitize printed material), as well as 10,000 crowdsourced images, to the moon in 2020 to begin its Lunar Library. Project organizers hope eventually to include all of Wikipedia, as well as genome maps and much of the world’s greatest art, music, literature and scientific knowledge”
… and why on DNA?
… and this seems a strange thing to say about your organization … “We’re like a privately funded DARPA specifically focused on preservation and the technologies that enable that”. Questions: What would that (privately funded DARPA) look like? How many other “DARPA like” private organizations are there? Other articles refer to a library containing “30 million pages”. Maybe more than one organization is sending libraries to the moon. If so, why more than one library? Each faction of the breakaway civilization needing its own reading material for future proof-texting? 🙂
“Beresheet” Lander – in Hebrew – in a beginning, or beginning,
As usual, as with SUNSPOT (anyone, anyone? observatory in New Mexico anyone?), there is much more to the story … that we’ll never be told.

The Arch Mission Foundation – their logo is a pyramid … Hmmmmmmm … interesting. They pronounce “a-r-c- h” as ark. Hmmmmm. Any connection to The Royal Arch of Heaven possibly? Oh, how wonderful it is to breathe the air at the “end of the twig of speculation. 🙂
The list and logos of the “partner organizations” are also interesting. In the list appears another possibly interesting “X” organization connection for Daniel Liszt … The Long Now Foundation. Seems a benign enough foundation. Brian Eno is one of the co-founders. The Birth of the Long Now Foundation – Brian Eno at http://fora.tv/2010/02/01/Long-Term_T…
