Like most of you, I am without adequate words to describe the fire at Notre Dame, or my emotions about it, or anything else… a very sad day.

Today, a piece of human culture was lost. The art, history, manuscripts, artifacts, the building itself and more, all lost in flames.
My understanding is that since it was undergoing a “face lift” that much of the artwork and manuscripts were, in fact, removed. From the article: Thank you to the @PompiersParis policemen and the municipal agents who have made this evening a tremendous human chain to save the works of #NotreDame. The Crown of thorns, the tunic of Saint Louis and several other major works are now in a safe place.

Macron’s added touch was further sickening as he attempted to use it to his benefit, politically speaking. I thought France had no culture, Macron?
