    • Yes, we must be careful concerning the content of our premisses. (The word “premiss,” as it was originally used in English, is derived from a medieval Latin word that refers (just as one would expect) to the portion of an argument in which justification and reasons are offered in support of a conclusion. – Bruce E. R. Thompson) …
Why is the content and the origin (means of delivery) of the content of our premisses (that which is present to mind) important?
See Mark B. Woodhouse, – Paradigm Wars: Worldviews for a New Age, The Gulf War Did Not Take Place by Jean Baudrillard and Prolegomena to a Science of Reasoning: Phaneroscopy, Semeiotic, Logic by Charles S. Peirce (Elize Bisanz – Ed.) Phaneroscopy is the scientific study of whatever is present to mind in any way.

      • Yes, premiss. Interesting Scarmoge.

        • A media system wants ostensible diversity that conceals an actual uniformity….
          Joseph Goebbels

They really know how to work a crowd. It’s unbelievable.

          • Yes, unfortunately we must have the tools to survive in the propaganda/continuous war/surveillance state in which we find ourselves. A few items that I’ve found helpful. Goebbels on the Power of Propaganda by Joseph Goebbels, Propaganda: The Formation of Men’s Attitudes by Jacques Ellul (Konrad Kellen and Jean Lerner – Trans.), State of Deception: The Power of Nazi Propaganda by Susan Bachrach and Steven Luckert, and an overlooked book by Edward Bernays – The Engineering of Consent.
