If a sleeping bear was’t poked in the eye by blaming it for shooting tankers off its shore, then take away it’s potential for maintaining it’s oil participation. There will be no more Bush-style wars, but more likely a lot of covert high tech and financial monkey business. Which, unlike “conventional”, geographically circumscribed wars, can have unpleasant consequences for lots of people anywhere on the globe.
Absolutely right. Very few people realize just how much the options for war fighting have changed over the last twenty years. Whoever coined the phrase, “Silent weapons for quiet wars” knew what they were talking about. These days, it’s less about troops and ammunition, and more about data and mastering the human domain. Not only will it be over by Christmas, it could even be over by lunchtime!
LOL @ tie – dye bell bottoms .. I haven’t heard that for AGES but I’ll join you .. Us old hippies will show these young prats (ie: Greta Thunberg / Ben Shapiro) how we did it the good old fashion way with not an iphone in sight ..
