As the UK (presumably) heads towards Brexit there has been a suggestion that the “proroguing” of Parliament could be used. This is a temporary closure of Parliament, which formerly took place before the MPs had a long holiday. As this link mentions, in recent decades it has been done with just a few days intervall before the reopening of a new “session”, often with a State Opening. As referenced on another page of the same parliament website, it was used by Blair in 1998 to push through a controversial financial services bill.

closure of parliament…..probably using ground radar to uncover the last hiding places of PIE’s stashes of Cheesy Pizza…They’re all perverts and qu eers in the house of lords..Its almost been a pre requisite since the Victorian days…not many noble families left now in UK.
