    • I think they already have it, with Microsoft, Apple and various social media companies. I mean what’s the point? If you think your OS can’t encrypt something secure enough, you can always do it with open source third party programs. There are hundreds of ways to do it, and the government is always 1 step behind, if you know what you are doing. It’s not rocket science. I’m quite sure that some of Linux distributions are full of backdoors too, but not all of them. You can pretty much say that if Intel release their own Linux distribution, it’s full of backdoors. And they just did it few months ago. Open source, that’s the future. You can always audit the code. Intel Linux, you can’t, as they use these proprietary drivers what you can’t audit and read. So the only way is the full open source, if you want to be secure. I use Linux with proprietary drivers so I know I’m compromised. It’s a choice. That’s ok for me.
