Yet another Hmmmmmm for the day … Do my eyes deceive me? Is that actually the word “conspiracy” that I see printed there? Surely not, we all know there is no such thing as “conspiracy.” Seems odd that the warrants are sealed in this case. There is no doubt whatsoever that the Russians (or Iranians or Chinese … pick one, two, or all three) are responsible.

City and DWP officials pledge full cooperation with probe into financial dealings stemming from alleged conspiracy

FBI agents served search warrants at Los Angeles City Hall and the Department of Water and Power on Monday as a part of a probe into a series of lawsuits over DWP’s billing system.

FBI officials acknowledged their investigation, but declined to provide additional information because the records are sealed at this time.

Rob Wilcox, a spokesman for City Attorney Mike Feuer, confirmed the warrants asked for documents from some of Feuer’s staff, as well as employees at the DWP.

“The warrants served on our staff relate to issues that have arisen over the class action litigation and settlement surrounding the DWP billing system, and the City’s lawsuit against PwC (PricewaterhouseCoopers),” Wilcox said in a statement. “We have and will continue to cooperate fully with the expectation that the investigation will be completed expeditiously.”
