It looks like the worst of the rain will have passed HK before the coming weekend’s demonstrations. The heat and high humidity in Hong Kong at this time of year are very wearing; so some rain and a stiff breeze cold actually be quite refreshing. Also – as with many chemical weapons – wind and rain can help neutralize tear gas and pepper spray. So, as they say, “It’s an ill wind….”!
