Any one else think this is a very bad idea? I can see scenarios like Wargames and The Terminator due to the total lack of security of digital systems.

I’ve never felt more comfortable .. What could possibly go WRONG !!!
The Darwin Awards and Fail Safe (Sidney Lumet, 1964)
Yes, what could possibly go wrong?
For many enjoyable examples see The Darwin Awards: Evolution in Action (Wendy Northcutt – currently 3 or 4 volumes I believe)

… simple rules:
So how are the Darwin Awards actually determined?
Nominees significantly improve the gene pool by eliminating themselves from the human race in an obviously stupid way. They are self-selected examples of the dangers inherent in a lack of common sense, and all human races, cultures, and socioeconomic groups are eligible to compete. Actual winners must meet the following criteria:
Reproduction
Out of the gene pool: dead or sterile.
Excellence
Astounding misapplication of judgment.
Self-Selection
Cause one’s own demise.
Maturity
Capable of sound judgment.
Veracity
The event must be true.
Not a Darwin (but not safe either)
* Whizzing on an electric wire
* Smoking in an oxygen tent
* Being hit by a train or automobile
* Aerosol cans, etc., in the oven
* Climbing into zoo cages
* Falling off precipice while posing or pissing
* Carbon monoxide poisoning
* Most autoerotic deaths
* all too common!

The true terror behind Sidney Lumet’s Fail Safe (1964) isn’t that things went wrong, it’s that they went right.
True, a mechanical error sent the signal for American flight crews to drop nuclear bombs on Moscow. But every possible contingency plan for stopping them failed because everything was planned too perfectly: the planes couldn’t be intercepted by fighters because they were designed to move too quickly; the planes couldn’t be shot down because their radar and decoy systems were too advanced; a direct plea from none other than the President of the United States failed because the flight crews had been trained to ignore any vocal commands after a certain time. The planning was perfect, the execution flawless.
I must say, in all honesty, that I have never, ever, in my life seen a better idea, This idea absolutely dwarfs (apologies … little peoples) sliced bread, spray-on butter, and anything ever “as seen on t.v..”
LOL .. My sentiments EXACTLY .. The way those algorithms are currently operating .. one would only have to utter the word “conspiracy” and that would usher in the total obliteration of the late great planet Earth .. Sighhh !!
This also ties out to some recent speculation from the Amazing Polly regarding the scenario’s possible by which Yew-toob purged all content involving amateur row-botz being pitted against one another in those cheesy “made for cable” battle-botz contests. Her scenarios were:
#1. Some allegedly human being actually decided this kind of violin-enz was on a par with content depicting animals fighting
#2. That yew-toob’s algorithms actually identified this content as unsuitable based on it’s mah-sheen lern-ing content filters.
The best part was that she wondered aloud if perhaps the AY-EYE was “off the reservation” and pulling its Plug-gh would be too costly to their bottom line. Which leaves us with a scenario where AY-EYE as it stands is already arriving at KONK-KLUSIONS that seem to intimate that it’s already loose and misbehaving like some hormonal teenager
Try washing that down like a silly-con donut with your morning coffee!
Great comment Blake .. I think AY – EYE left the reservation some time ago and has been running amok ever since .. Some “THING” even the Center for DisEASE Creation won’t be able to reign in .. “They” KNOW it and there’s NOthing “they” can do about it ..
That scenario also explains the odd behavior in the financial markets. It also reminds me of that classic episode of the X-Files – “Kill Switch”. My favorite episode ever.! If you haven’t seen it, check it out! What a world right!? it seems as if the “horse has already left the barn”. Oh that’s just great.
Its also hilarious that we’re spelling things the way we are, I feel like one of the crew in Kubrick’s 2001 hoping that HAL won’t hear us!
