This afternoon I observed the fascinating phenomenon of the “double Sun” over Rome, with the second “Sun”, about 20° to the side of the actual Sun, maintaining considerable brilliance before the light faded into the clouds. And no, I don’t think it was either Niburu or the Virgin Mary. Though probably not a good omen for the political establishments located in these parts.

Wow! Can you say how you observed it? Using any special equipment etc??? Thank you!
Just looking at it. I did not have a device with me suitable for taking a direct photo of the Sun. At first the “second sun” was too bright to look at for more than second or two, but afterwards it gradually disappeared. Anyway it was similar to some published photos of this phenomenon, said to be due to an unusual refraction/reflection of light through clouds, though the 20° arc separation was impressive.
Thank you for that! I hear a lot about our sun and moon that doesn’t always follow behavior we expect. One day I hope to do my own viewing studies.
