It is a sobering video indeed. There wasn’t anything in it I could argue against and be more optimistic about.
He makes good analyses on a range of information, and has done so over the years.
My criticism is similar to the one I have with regard to Icke, a linguistic one. But language is magic, in principio erat verbum. So the tendency to expound using expressions like “they will do…” “they have already done…” “you will be….” “we will all be…” can induce thoughts in the incautious listener which are, as you say, pessimistic. This means there is an error in the use of intentionality, and so it is easy for the message to inform intellectually but harm emotionally, thus taking force away from the arguments. It may take a little longer to say “if this happens that other thing MIGHT happen” rather than the expressions I mentioned. This is a trap that people like Joseph and Catherine do not fall into.

In my own head I was comparing Corbett’s analysis with Catherine’s and Joseph’s and thinking in a much less eloquent way, “Yeah, but, C & J are never this doom and gloom without injecting realistic optimism as well.” Best regards Dana… <3

Its depressing because its about “the depression”!
