    • It could be argued that this article is actually pointing to the fact that Antarctica was not where it currently lies 90 million years ago. Even if much warmer back then, the months of no sunlight would surely hamper the growth of very large trees and forests. Wouldn’t a temperate forest require not just a temperate climate but also the right latitude?…just a thought

    • Could this have anything to do with magnetic pole shifts? I know that they’re supposed to happen every 20k years or so and I wonder if that could have played a role in this…

    • Or perhaps it could be seen to show that the Earth wasn’t titled as it currently is.
