I found the Truth about Nuclear Energy to be electrifying….I hope you’ll take the time to find that out too….
The levels for safe exposure to radiation were established in the early 1920’s when they were first formally presented by Dr. Arthur Mutscheller, then President of the American Roentgen Ray Society, and published in a paper entitled, “Physical Standards of Protection Against Roentgen Ray Dangers,”
These levels were based on the observations of actual radio-logical scientists, physicians, researchers, technicians and assistants who worked with radioactive materials in shielded work areas. Estimates are that those workers had received about one-tenth of an “Erythema” dose per month (or about 60 REM per MONTH) as measured by various x-ray-tube currents and voltages, the filtration of the beam, the distance of the workers from the source and the length of time of the exposures. As it was observed that none of the individuals had shown any signs of radiation injury whatsoever it was concluded that the dose-rate levels sustained are acceptable, then thru today, but in proposing a tolerance dose a decade later, the industries involved and the governments that regulated them applied a seemingly arbitrary safety factor of TEN TIMES LESS the known rate for safe exposure and then recommended that the tolerance limit be set at one one-hundredth (1/100th) of an erythema dose per month (equivalent to about 70 REM per YEAR). For those of us not into fractional geometry that is ONE MILLION TIMES LESS than the known harmful rates of direct, unshielded exposure to any kind of radioactive element. A tolerance dose btw, is “a radiation dose to which the human body can be subjected to without production of any harmful effects.”
Alright, Terry, so what are you getting at here now?
Big Oil’s relevance and global power was as pervasive back before WWII as it is now. Perhaps even more so as back then they were all still operating freely as an unbroken, price-fixing monopolistic worldwide cartel, notoriously known as “The Seven Sisters”. As a matter of fact, every single one of the leading scientific minds back then thought that the Atom could never be split by man in order to replicate the type of controlled, artificial nuclear fission reaction that would create a deployable Atomic bomb or in a fusion reaction that could generate a safe, sustainable, practically free energy source (including Albert Einstein and all of his peers. All of them).
However that part is a whole other chapter of this sordid story. What some early theories and even experiments before the War DID point to was the distinct possibility that a sustainable,
containable and controllable nuclear fission reaction could very well be realized on a smaller scale, one that wouldn’t blow up anything or anyone into smithereens, while harnessing virtually unlimited clean energy for anyone anywhere on the Planet forever (or even off-Planet for that matter, but I digress, again). Now, our evil cabal of twisted corporate sisters have always had their collective, sinister ears pressed tight to the walls of academic and scientific laboratory developments everywhere while they scope out and snoop in on ways to continuously corner their market on any and all possible improvements and new developments in fuel and energy technologies. All done for the benefit of mankind, of course. So as all of this “non-sense talk” about “Free Energy”, “The Atomic Age” and “Renewable Resources” started to emanate from throughout science journals, academia, government planning committees (the early “Think Tanks”), segments within the military and even popular culture in the form Science Fiction, started to gain momentum the Old Girls Cub did what they always do to perceived threats to their existence.
They played dirty.
Really fukin dirty.
Whenever new innovations relating to energy have been developed, they immediately moved in to purchase the Rights and/or Patents and would then promptly bury them in some bank of private vaults that we still can’t see today. We will NEVER know of all the innovations that have been removed from our options for somebody else’s “good”. If their billions could not buy out the few that still refused them, then they would bury the developers in law suits, red tape and even get their bought and paid for Congressmen to open up investigations to besmirch and bankrupt them before it could be brought to market or even become widely known to the Public. They have been lying to us, We, the People, about the dangers of radiation exposure for nearly a century now and nearly everyone believes their bullshit because of that. I mean, you do, don’t you? You think I’m fukin crazy and can’t believe that you just wasted this much time reading this shit, right? It was Big Oil and their bought & paid for lackeys in academia, mainstream science and above all our government, who decided what exposure levels are to be considered “dangerous”. That’s like letting Cats decide what how much Dog food should be allowed on the shelves at PetCo. All of those tactics have proven to be so effective that they continue use them to this very day. They’ve somehow managed to get even worse by exercising a nearly absolute control of the narrative by buying off the Press through targeted use their advertising dollars and, most devastatingly for Us and our environment, by setting up “revolving doors” wherein the executives of major corporations are former high-ranking government officials in the very same Departments that are in charge of regulating their businesses.
My bottom line here is that if every currently operational Nuclear Power Plant in America was allowed to operate at 100% of it’s output capacity, then every single other form of power generating company would have to have a fire sale on energy. Nuclear power is so safe and clean that the energy it produces would be so cheap that it is not even meterable.
So where’s the profit in that?
There isn’t any after it’s initial startup cost to construct one.
So now do you understand why we don’t have a free nuclear economy?
Don’t listen to me….I want you all to listen to a real American Hero, one Mr. Galen Winsor (btw, how come we don’t name people with awesome, unique names like “Galen” or “Prescott’ or “Glenway” or “Ina” or “Caligula”….well, maybe not “Caligula”). He’s like everyone’s beloved and respected “Greatest Generation” relative. Winsor wouldn’t know how to cheat on his taxes, wife, faith or country. He’s not lying to us, We, The People either. He worked as a nuclear technician at the Hanford Nuclear Power Plant because our government asked him to during and after the War. He and his team refined enough pure Plutonium to satisfy every possible need our Country, and every other Country, could possibly ever need by 1960! Then, as an engineer, he went on to design and build practically every single General Electric Nuclear Power Plant in America and the World. There is not a single human being on Earth who knows more about nuclear energy. So watch and listen, listen very closely, to this lecture that he gave hundreds of times for over a decade after he retired. Then do what I did a couple of years ago when I first saw this and go and do your own research. Believe it or not, the Seven Sisters haven’t been able to quash every stick of information, thanks to the internet and intrepid Heroes like Mr. Galen Winsor….
