For the moment the “mandatory vax” is just a propaganda stunt. Various parties have initiated court cases against the government on a preventive basis. In the Lazio Region, the Administrative Court has halted the local ordinance for “mandatory flu shots” for over65s and others, saying that the onus of scientific proof that such measures are effective lies with the “authorities” enacting them. But in any case, under Italian law, national or local “mandating” is just not possible. Even the Lazio Region ordinance says that the only “punishment” for the non-vaxed seniors is being barred from regionally-authorised social clubs.
