The heliosphere of the sun is shrinking in concession with the solar minimum. The earth’s core is a plasma dynamo which captures cosmic radiation. Since the sun is not shielding the incoming cosmic rays to the degree it was in previous solar cycles, the core is capturing ultra high energy radiation to the extent of the increased heating, and likely oncoming expansion of the terrestrial crust. IF one could help this process along by inducing the appropriate telluric currents, one could conceivably retard or accelerate the process.
