Thank you for that. I had totally forgotten about Walter Williams who, with Thomas Sowell, have got to be two of the most under-appreciated scholars (although Williams said that about Sowell, he clearly follows the same pattern.)
Pretty eye opening how you see the roots of the downward trend. Add the government (both R&D’s) push of drugs into these neighborhoods (fact) to satisfy their prison quotas, attitude continues to sour and anger is easy to incite. You can see why we haven’t heard from Williams lately: too openly honest, too thorough, and too smart. Not in sync with the welfare need to keep Blacks on the plantation.
Agreed…Love Thomas Sowell, have several of his books and trying to encourage more people in my local community to read his books right now…now more than ever.
