I really don’t mean to come here and vent, but hey it’s Friday why not. While I was busy noticing the decline of the 3rd Roman Empire, lost count after the first one, so correct my misperception please, apparently the state of Indiana now requires masks. The penalties were withdrawn Wednesday of a potential 6 months in jail, I guess the republithugs thought a backlash might ensue. The reason I am taking note is this…. 6.85 million hoosiers (people who live in this state), and wait for it, no really wait for it…. 66,154 cases. Now I’m pretty much a visual person, but I can wrangle numbers occasionally, that would be 0.0097% positive cases, with a test that is not designed to determine “viral” infection. I guess when you have that many arms (weapons and men) on your side, you don’t even need to pretend that your not a criminal. Sloppy, just plain sloppy….

Vent away… we all do… that’s what this is for. lol
We can only hope that they keep on looking incredibly inconsistent and incredibly stupid to the point when more people throw up their hands and announce that they are done with this crap. Despite all the hand wringing in cities, I can tell you that all the cowboys that I know are ignoring the whole thing and having their events. No big crowds, but horse prices are maintaining which says a lot about their attitudes about the future. Thank the Lord there are no cutout cardboard people in the “paying seats”. (Watching the farce of a Mets game at a friend’s house with masks and cardboard crowd was just too surreal.)
Here in IN it’s roughly 50/50. Except the good 50 are still abiding by corporate requests to muzzle up. The percentages are still well against us. I come from out west, miss the hell out of it. But I well know the character of many out there. We as a species of being are being cut apart piece by piece. This comment isn’t to say all is lost, we need to accurately assess the situation around us and move accordingly. And yes, I pray their insanity is their Achilles tendon. Every chance I get, I laugh out load at them, and smile in my heart, maybe a bit more deviously than I should.
