Just got a small package in the mail apparently from Suzhou Jiangsu China, it is labeled as untracked and the description is a necklace. I opened it cautiously and it is a package of seeds. They’re in Massachusetts now.
A number of questions arise:
If whoever is sending these has access to thousands or millions of addresses, could this imply access to intelligence networks?
If this is covert warfare why is there not more radical response about this?
How do we actually know they’re from China?
The “invasive species” or “brushing scam” sounds like a front to me. Whose land are “they” trying to screw up? Suburban America, really? I suppose American farmers. A brushing scam is typically done with a labeled product that one could find online, this package had no labeling.
If US Customs handles security for international packages, why were these clearly mislabeled packages sent to thousands of homes? (assuming other people got packages described as “necklace” etc.)
Convenient timing considering the USDA offices around me are closed due to the bolognavirus

The question absolutely starts with “If US Customs”… I tried to send a letter to Europe and it was in US Customs for 3 months (it was JUST a letter that needed a signature at the other end.) So what gives?
I ordered a pair of pants from China just at the beginning of March before all the madness, and they arrived two days ago…
If it’s taking that long to send international packages, then how long ago were these seeds sent?
