Sorry I’ve been absent. At least I’ve been able to catch Josephs podcasts post facto, including a great interview of him by Dark Journalist recently.
South Africa is a shambles right now.
    Lockdown continues.
    Alcohol and cigarette bans.
    Military curfew.
The entire SA army of 75,000 mobilized “to fight the virus”.
The vast majority of so-called virus relief funds had been stolen by the government and their cronies.
Food parcels are being stolen and sold by same.
It is illegal for me to donate food directly to someone on the street.
Everything must go through the state.
All virus information including numbers etc must only be released by the central state authority.
Hospitals and doctors are not legally allowed to speak to the press.
At least 3,000,000 jobs have been lost.
    The tourist industry is comatose.
The poor are beginning to starve.
More people are feared to be dying of TB and HIV AIDS because they’re afraid to go to their clinic.
The police and army are extremely heavy handed.
I would say that I am witnessing a failing state.
Since Friday we have been unable to leave our small village to reach the nearest town.
Violent protests are blocking roads in and out.
On Friday gunshots were fired and gunfire continues today.
A local 11 year old boy was eating dinner on Friday when he was hit in the head by a stray bullet.
No one yet knows whether the shot was from protesters or police.
He is alive, miraculously, but in critical.
This is happening now all over SA.
Farm murders are rising dramatically again.
There have been some particularly heinous, horrifying farm murders lately.
2 elderly farmers in their late 70s along with a 55 year old daughter, were kidnapped, tortured and murdered as they sat down to Sunday lunch last week.
Meanwhile our “leaders” speak of the virus threat and how the lockdown saved 10s of thousands of lives.
The ANC leadership is now fracturing with various people pointing fingers at each othet for corrupt tenders for PPE etc.
Nero is fiddling while Rome burns.
Anyway. I hope things are better wherever you live.
Obviously I just haven’t had more time to delve into SAs fascist past but I will.
But one important thing I have learned and I hope you can get this to Joseph’s attention:
SA established missions in the Antarctic during the late 40s.
It is extremely hard to find detailed information on where exactly the base was and is, who were involved etc.
But I found an obscure document that says SAs first base was established at an abandoned Norwegian base in Queen Mauds Land – we all know this territory!
According to the document the current base is in the same general region but has moved over the years due to changing ice conditions.
What’s really interesting to me is that an interview I heard on Forum Borealis (Chris High) stated that Queen Mauds land was basically off limits. I don’t think that even Al at the forum knew about this base.
And, quickly, apparently when the first Antarctic treaty was signed, America and Britain were anxious to ensure SA sign it.
Just that makes me think: why would major powers care 2 cents about what a tiny (militarily) nation does or doesn’t do in the Antarctic?
The more I look at SAs Antarctic program, the less I can find out about it.
Of course now it particpates in scientific cruises off the coast.
Finally. Check out the fact that in the late 40s as well, I believe, SA annexed 2 islands near Antarctica and continues to own them today.
They are, of course, weather monitoring stations.
If anyone has time, please do a deep dive into South Africa’s presence in the Deep South.
Don’t forget that, by this time, German South West Africa was now being administered by South Africa (not Britain). After WWI Britain didn’t take direct control but seeded that to South Africa, which held onto the territory till the end of the bush war and the emergence of Namibia.
IE Very close ties between the Germans in South West Africa and the SA fascists who took control in 1948!
Ok. I’ve spewed out a lot here!
    Sorry about that.
    God bless you all.
Stay safe and keep fighting for the truth.
