Odd. Ive been reviewing ‘exposés of big corporations to flesh out my understanding of how they go about their business. I’ve been pondering a chapter in Sally Denton’s book about Bechtel, The Profiteers.
Chapter 41, ‘A Nasty Piece of Work’ is devoted to the case of ‘spy’ Johnathan Pollard. What strikes me as odd is that she establishes no linkage between Pollard and Bechtel. The information about Pollard is just sitting there in the book with no context.
That just doesn’t sit well with me. I’ve never seen an author just throw in a chapter that seems to have no relevance to the subject of the book. Perhaps the affair does have something to do with Bechtel and she neglected to mention it?
Does anybody have additional information? BTW, not a fan of Sally Denton.

Perhaps her publishers’ legal advisers required her to handle the material in that way?
No context in the book. Chapter sticks out like a sore thumb. Per wiki https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jonathan_Pollard
